Lawrence/Wayne County Cattlemen’s Association Annual Meeting

The Lawrence/Wayne County Cattlemen’s Association Annual Meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, February 16th, 5:30pm. at the Lawrence County High School Cafeteria. We are pushing the start time up 30 minutes in hopes of an earlier conclusion.
Our featured speakers will be UT Extension Forage Specialist, Dr. Gary Bates and Lou Nave with the Farm Animal Care Coalition of Tennessee (FACCT) .
Dr. Bates will discuss the latest research in Forage Production and introduce the newly established UT Beef and Forage Center and Ms. Nave will explain what FACCT is and its benefit to animal agriculture.
The business part of the meeting will consist of the announcement of the 2013 scholarship winner(s) and the presentation of the 2012 scholarships.
The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the 2013 Cattlemen of the Year.
Reservations need to be made before Friday, February 8th, by calling either the Lawrence County Extension Office at 762-5506 or the Wayne County Extension Office at 722-3229.
